4. CampusAuctionMarket offering FREE promotions!

On September 5th 2002 researchers at the University of Alberta started a local Internet auction site. Since the opening over 1,000 people have registered on CampusAuctionMarket.com. During this period close to 1500 auctions have been posted by students and local residents, resulting in approximately 5,000 bids, and over $40,000 in sales. The site is open to U of A students and residents of the greater Edmonton area. Registration is free and detailed instructions on how to proceed are provided at www.campusauctionmarket.com.

CampusAuctionMarket.com provides you with a free, easy and fun way to sell and buy just about any products through Internet auctions. The originators of this new auction site explain that it is similar to popular auction sites like eBay and Amazon, but that the local nature of this site has several important advantages for buyers and sellers. Buyers and sellers can meet in person (for example, on campus) to complete the transaction, eliminating the need to send payment before receiving the item and incurring shipping costs. Also, since it is completely free, no credit card is needed to register.

The site originators explain that during the period of November 5th - 20th they will be running an exciting promotion, offering free gifts and prizes, and a chance to win some great products at low prices.

So you can visit the site even if you aren't in the local area served by it now. It's is an interesting new addition to the developing Internet landscape. Visit www.campusauctionmarket.com today!
