Follow-up Letters |
| - Follow-up letters can be used to obtain further information from an employer, to confirm the interview time, or simply to thank an interviewer for their time and consideration. |
| A
thank you/follow-up letter should include information to do the following: - |
| Thank the interviewer for taking the time to meet with you or provide you with more information. | |
| Expresses that you would like to hear from them as soon as possible. | |
| Ensures that the interviewer remembers you. | |
| Reaffirms your interest in the company and why you are suitable for the position. | |
| Answers any questions and gives additional information that was not provided in the interview. | |
- If you know that the decision about who will be called for an interview will be made very soon, you may want to send the letter overnight or express. Although this may cost you anywhere from $4 to $15 (depending on the service you choose and the distance of the delivery), if this is your dream job, it is worth it. Remember to send a thank-you
letter after every interview! |
